About the Author
I was born in Gary, IN in 1993. I've attended several different schools in the area, and graduated from Wirt/Emerson School for Performing Arts with a major in Art in 2012. From there I attended Ivy Tech Community College where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2016.
During my high school years, I took the time to develop the characters of my books, culminating into publishing my first book, The Kindergarten Detectives: The First Case in 2014. The Kindergarten Detectives is about young children solving cases, learning through teamwork, problem solving, and friendship.
Meanwhile, I started working on a separate series (The Am I Series), which I used a lot of my personal experiences of bullying, awkwardness, and emotional irritation, which I now appreciate, which made me who I am today. The main character, Hector, deals with a lot of different situations with his friends in preschool, showing that asking questions about yourself isn't a bad thing, but a good thing for a child's development.

About the authors
Inspired by various cartoons at the age of 13, I've had the inspiration to create my own characters. Being a self taught artist/illustrator, I drew from my own life experiences and my love for storytelling, which allowed me to create two book series: 'The Kindergarten Detectives' and The 'Am I?' series.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2019Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis is the first of Miss Lore's books I've read. She tells a beautiful story about how a poor little boy is teased and called weird by other kids because of his own imagination. Through the help of a more open-minded person he is comforted and realizes that no matter what others may think, his unique imagination makes him special.
I strongly recommend parents and teachers use this book to counteract any negative effects bullying has upon poor little children. I will be collecting more books by this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2017Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseGreat book for kids getting bullied that love anime. It's straight to the point, easy to understand, great illustrations and perfect for kids aged 5 and up. I don't recommend it for younger kids because I know it will teach them to call people names by mistake!!!
